Comparing Visual Studio and IncrediBuild Build commands

You can compare the differences between regular build commands executed with Visual Studio and build commands executed with IncrediBuild. This can be beneficial if you notice crucial differences between the results obtained when you regularly execute your build compared to when it is executed with IncrediBuild.

To check these:

  1. Open the Agent Settings and click on "Output' under the "Build Monitor" tab.
  2. Click the "show command lines" option.
  3. Run a build with IncrediBuild. The build output will now contain the command's used by IncrediBuild.
  4. Run a build without IncrediBuild.
  5. In the project's folder, you will find a file called "BuildLog.htm" which contains the build commands used by Visual Studio.
  6. Compare the two commands for each step.
